Great article. Everyone I voted for in primary lost except the schoolboard member. :( I helped with phone calls, doorknocking, leaving doorhangers, putting up signs. And making websites, https://defendourunion.org/candidates and pushing those I believed in. Still, there are things I would have done differently. Sort of too little, too late on my part. While this was disappointing we did learn how to improve, we have made connections with many people we never knew who felt the same way. The Escambia REC has expanded and America First are learning how to use Roberts Rules of Order, we are having off the record subcommittees in peoples homes, we have our EIC. And with great teamwork and leadership we passed a resolution about 100 to 2 that Biden was illegitimately elected. We are surprised that we are so many and those who were there are surprised we are so many. It is a turbulent time somewhat akin to the founding of our country--passions run high, research abounds, and fast friendships are being made. Where we are/I am now compared to 2 years ago is night and day. I would love for it to be faster, but it is turning. Let's move this ship around. Save America. God bless America.

Bravo! Great work! What you describe as "too little, too late" is a hell of a lot more than most people have done. I include myself in that category. I despise the Republican establishment and especially the RINO's. I really want to be a Republican but haven't affiliated until the primary. Reading your story gives me pause to reconsider and get involved rather than standing on the sidelines and waiting to see how the primary shakes out. One other thing that I'd like to mention as it pertains to the primary. Unaffiliated voters can vote for Non-partisan candidates in the primary. If there are some new voters that are not registered with a party and want to vote for the conservative candidate of their choice, they still can if that candidate is nonpartisan. School board candidates are generally listed as such. With all of the new residents moving here from out of state, it could be good to spread the word about that as well. Here is a news story from 2018 regarding that. https://www.wtsp.com/article/news/local/heres-why-no-party-affiliation-and-independents-should-still-vote-in-the-primary-election/67-584848566 Three voters in my home are unaffiliated and I got them out to vote in the primary for conservative NP candidates. They wouldn't have voted otherwise.

Florida News Report...please contact me and I'll share a presentation I put together on the success I had canvasing in my precinct. EVERY single one of the MAGA candidates won (and won BIG) in my precinct. Even Shaw got 61%...I can guarantee he didn't get close to that percentage in ANY other precinct in Florida. Some have advised me to not share my approach as the RINOs will copy it and use it against us. No worries, because RINOs have very few dedicated and passionate LOCAL volunteers, but instead rely on spending millions on advertisements (mailers, TV, radio, social media, etc.), so they will never be able to copy it. And, the best thing about it...they WILL lose every time!

Amazing! We had a great plan in Hillsborough but unfortunately did not get as great of turnout. But we are building. We have 400 precincts so getting that many PCM’s is hard. Plus the RINOS in the REC do nothing!

Briguy, I have references, we should speak; know on a 1st name basis (& needs, preferences, family members) nearly all repubs, indies And dems in my precinct (& importantly, they know me). They come to my front door, stop me riding my bike, they ask: "What's the rest of This Story?" & I always have to be on the top of my game to give them educated answers or say: Don't know, let me get back to You, and then DO! Also share w/other Precinct Committeemen/Women to let them know abt. the issue I Was Uninformed on as if 'My' Voters were asking, I'll bet You some of theirs have the same concern/question! There Can Be so much more to being a Precinct Committee person in Your Precinct than the average member is doing, it's sad. Training is desperately needed all across the state. Every candidate the REC of Marion County backed lost in the primaries.

Well, that is really good news as long as the Marion County REC backed RINOs.... did it?

IF Your REC is filled w/RINOs, that was a VERY GOOD THING! If it's the opposite, apologize for the initial 'enthusiasm'?

AWESOME! YOU SHOULD BE BEAMING! Moving back up Your way next yr, they call me 'good trouble' here! =;^) Now it's time to follow Dan Schultz Precinct Strategy and take 'em over from the ground up! By the time they figure out what's happening (like here), You'll have controlling voting #'s! Then select A1st Candidate Leadership who absolutely want to GROW the REC & expand marketplace. You have a Good Registration Ratio in Marion, now it's time to get an INSPIRED REC w/trained Precinct Committee people! Let the RINOs Learn how they should've been doing it all along! & Support every way You can, all those candidates that they Didn't!

Jack Brill assaulted a 70 year old Hillsborough County REC member at the March RPOF. Joe Gruters was close by and said nothing. We have a recording and witnesses. Gruters has allowed his RPOF grievance chair Richard DeNapoli to run amuck and go after conservative chairs with endless petty grievances. However, they turn down actual grievances against RINOS.

It’s passed time to start pressing charges against RINOs who assault citizens.

Actually it's past time to start pressing charges against Anyone who assaults fellow Citizens and it'd really be nice if our SA's also actually take those assaults/batteries SERIOUSLY. (It's an election year, it's my party, it's my REC, it's......all just another excuse the SA's Proffer to not do their jobs and keep a low profile preventing exposure of negative information on REC's or other RINOs behaving both badly & Illegally. We had a young man accosted while LIVE STREAMING an REC OPEN Meeting. Now He's an REC Member too! But of course, "nothing to see here, swear"

If Mike Flynn can take over the Sarasota REC and take the State Chair role at some point we can can break the back of the Establishment RINO stranglehold on our state. Without that it’s a heavy lift for individual counties with over-reach by the Boards happening with impunity and silencing of the voice of the Committee members. How can we support Flynn?

Expand full comment

Flynn needs to have Patriots show up to the Sarasota REC meeting to let him know that we support him OUTSIDE his county --- across the State of Florida. About eight months ago, we requested Flynn join the Party and run for State Chairman - and the State Chairman doesn't even have to belong to an REC - which we though was just AWESOME! This is an incredible turn of events and could flood county RECs with all new America First arrivals from outside Florida like Charlie Kirk who moved to Bradenton, Will Witt who is in Tampa, DC Draino who moved to Pinellas County. We need big names who are BIG PATRIOTS.

I love that story 💖

FYI...the RPOF recently instituted a new rule that any new member of a county REC must have been a registered Republican in that county for at least one year. This was implemented to stop all of those highly motivated Republicans fleeing communist states and moving to the free state of Florida from becoming REC members. The RPOF are doing everything they can to stop America First people joining the REC.

You should already be HARD AT WORK growing Your REC and demanding they process applications. A "Registered Repub" for a yr is easily proven, don't care where You were b4 'here', where ever 'here' was, including Commiefornia. We have folks fleeing Bakersfield who Spit at the mention of McCarthy's Name? Dang, ok, sold! Nobody can be legally reqd to have been in the specific COUNTY before submitting App. to REC if a Life Long Documented Repub. Sure seems (often) that they Want to Lose? (both Elections And Our Country?)

Did not realize all the issues with Campaign Sidekick. Defend Florida was using Salvo. Salvo seemed to do the same things that Campaign Sidekick did. Plus my phone could handle it. I would definitely look into using Salvo as it has to be just as effective and most probably much less costly. Really it comes back to networking volunteers and using time most effectively. My issue with Campaign Sidekick (and I could make 100 calls in an hour) was that normally you are simply leaving a message and I had no idea what that message was. We were sold on volunteering to help DeSantis and yet the first two questions we are to ask are about Rubio. Seemed underhanded to me and I quit.

Tehescmarts, They aren't "Issues"..... They're FEATURES. It was a 'setup'(Again, including for door knocking") to put the A1st/MAGA Campaigners/Supporters out there working for the RINOs, DURING the Primary Season! Nice? (For Them, definitely) I tell everyone, same thing Patrick Burne, General Flynn's Brother and others shared w/us-> NEVER Donate to the RNC, rather give to Candidates You Know, Support & Believe in DIRECTLY. Don't even use their 'online links' if those roll to "winred". That Money isn't going to THEM. Call their offices/email them asking how to donate directly. Canvassing? Go to Your SoE's Office, let them look You up, confirming Your REC Status & Precinct # & ask for the Current Voter rolls in Your Pcinct. They're req'd by LAW to provide for You, then You have Your Knocking list. R's 1st, Indies Nxt, & lo, yes, even D's! You'll be amazed how many You can swing to our side by being a high quality example asking if there's anything You can do for them, that we have lists of assets for needy family members, fm transportation to other support systems, it's NOT just about candidates, it's about Relationship Building. They have to Know You as that relationship grows. "Wearing them down" is easier than You think!

Expand full comment

This is great advice. This is where we need to go on the knocking list. I have been thinking about this, that we need to not just drop off literature and ask questions such as "are you going to vote for DeSantis?" but finding out what they need. Instead of telling them what we want them to do, we need to be finding out what they want us to do. The lists of assets, great idea. Was just talking with my 86 yr dad about transporting older people who are no longer driving. This is something my church can do, or various groups. Thank you for clarifying the importance of relationship.
