The geographical border states have an obligation to protect the foreign borders that abut their jurisdictions, and all the states have effectively become border states with the federal efforts to move illegal immigrants into them. Defunding federal law enforcement should be used selectively when its activities are counterproductive to a sane immigration policy which protects US citizens first.
