Sharing information is powerful. We just have to all check for accuracy and remember that each county may have a slightly different County REC Constitution. If your county has not adopted a specific Constitution for their county, then the RPOF County Model Constitution applies.
St Johns County is currently operating under the County Model Constitution.
Great article. Very informative. I'm running for chair in our county and we're fighting against the swamp mentality. We won't give up and I have a great slate. We've been working together for 7 months and we are determined to provide strong, positive, forward thinking ideas and grow our membership like crazy. We are determined to KEEP our county RED!
Last Thursday 11/17/2022 I attended the Republican Club in The Villages, Florida as a member and as a recent former candidate for school board in the primary. I was trespassed and kicked out of the meeting and venue because I was recording the disagreement with what was happening during the club and the attempted election. This is only the tip of the iceberg. There are ethical and transparency issues happening, and those of us who want to address those issues are being”suppressed “. What do I do next? Tuesday, November 29th at 2pm the new Sarasota Memorial Hospital Board Directors will meet for the VERY FIRST TIME!
Dr. Guffanti will present the new board with a request for a Board Investigation Committee to determine what caused the bizarre medical care at the hospital. (All those crazy deaths and terrible protocols). Tanya Paris will join in this request and address the board during the public speaking portion.
WHAT WE NEED from you is attendance with as many of your friends and relatives to show community support for this committee. You do not have to get up and speak, unless you would like to. In which you can then share your approval and support with the new board.
We voted and now we must support and hold accountability! Our civi duties must continue!
Please let me know you are in or not. Board meetings are held inside the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Be prepared for parking in garage.

Good commentary on the importance of local REC organization. The best way to prevail in any constitutional system of self-governance when an adversarial relationship exists is to know the rules/bylaws better than the opposition. Eventually, those with less than honorable or sincere motives will run afoul of the rules and become the instrument of their own downfall.
I'm not on my REC currently...Bad health. BUT I can testify to the power of not only reading, but STUDYING your governing documents and Bylaws.
I took over my condo board by doing exactly that...Knowing the Declaration, Bylaws, FL statutes, and FL Code which puts the meat on the bones of the statutes.
These are your weapons! Know them and use them, refer to them frequently. If necessary, consult with a MAGA-friendly corp law attorney who can teach you how the REC/GOP corp docs interface with the FL Code. There might be more there than you think.
And of course, don't let the RINO enemies know what you know. They might be cunning, but they aren't that smart. Corruption makes people stupid.

Furthermore, according to RPOF Party Rules, no proxy voting is permissible; however, an alternate member who represents a specific precinct member who is absent may represent and vote for that member. Other specific procedures of the process are governed by Robert’s Rules of Order, 12th Edition and custom.
Does this mean if a PC is out of town someone in her precinct can cast her vote? A little confusing because it also said it must be done in person. Can you clarify? Thank you!
I believe that proxy voting in elections of officers is NOT permitted by the RPOF rules, however an alternate precinct committeeperson may vote on behalf of the elected PC.
