RINOs Killing the very Underdogs who could Save our State of Florida
Editorial By Cathi Chamberlain 8-10-2024
I don’t have much time these days to read or write and that drives me crazy. That’s because I’m not just a writer, I am also an Activist. As the author of an anti-Saul Alinsky “Rules for Radicals” best-seller book, a sought-after speaker throughout Florida, “Community Organizer” against Antifa/BLM with Black and White Unite 4 Blue protests in Pinellas during the summer of 2020 and the Florida Supervisor of Elections (FSE) Conference in Tampa in 2021, Ambassador for Defend Florida (the grassroots volunteer group that uncovered 31% phantom voters in Florida and helped convince FL legislators to pass SBs 90 and 524), Leader of the Pinellas County Defend Florida local group, Campaign Manager for highly-decorated, unjustly convicted J6er, retired Green Beret Jeremy Brown (serving seven years for shaming the FBI after their failed attempt to recruit him to become a spy against the American people), former candidate of a hotly-contested and disputed REC Chair position, Founder of the Pinellas Watchdogs, Multi-Campaign Coordinator of 13 America First Supervisor of Elections (SOE) candidates, and major volunteer currently in the Pinellas SOE race, I think I’m qualified to say a few things about our Republican Party in Florida. Aside from the America First arm, it’s a disgrace.
After reading the recent article by Deanna Brinkley published by Florida News Report. I felt inspired to put pen to paper once again (thank you Deanna for such insight!). I’ve heard the many stories about Manatee’s GOP over the last two years with Chair April Culbreath at the helm. The stories sound a lot like those we’ve had going on here in Pinellas. Having spoken to many county clubs throughout our state, I can tell you our SOEs here in Florida are a lot like our county REC (Republican Executive Committee) Boards – hardly the “Gold Standards” our “politicians” profess them to be. In other words, folks, thanks to “Establishment RINOs” that have slowly overtaken our counties throughout the years, we’re screwed. BUT, there is something we can still do about it. E.g., STOP voting for those they endorse just because “they” say so.
EXAMPLE: In Pinellas we currently have an SOE, Julie Marcus, who since being elected, has been totally non-transparent, refuses to answer questions at our REC meetings, defers all emails/inquiries to her Deputy, overcharges for Public Records Requests (PRRs), redacts PRR replies worse than the DOJ, and on and on. For over three years our local Defend Florida all-volunteer group has faced blockade after blockade from her and her office. We came to her with hard-earned proof that our voter rolls were a mess. We truly believed Marcus would welcome us with open arms and want to work together to fix the problems. Boy were we wrong. One PRR that would have required a 15-minute data file download came back to me personally with a $335,000 price tag. What grassroots volunteer can afford that? I later learned another county gave up the same file for $40.00. That’s outrageous.
But that’s just the tip of the iceberg. If it’s so difficult to get answers from our public officials, it begs the question: what have they got to hide?
If this were an isolated incident, I would hardly take time from my already-taxed schedule to sound the alarm. Unfortunately, I am seeing this in almost every county in Florida. But what really kills me is the number of local REC Board members who toe the Establishment line even when doing so throws its own Committee members under the bus. It’s not America Firsters who are dividing our Party…it’s the Establishment. Don’t EVER get confused by that.
Our Pinellas State Committeewoman, Pam McAloon, recently shared an article in a local newspaper called “Senior Voice America” as an “op-ed”. It was straight out of the extremely progressive Tampa Bay Times (TBT) entitled, “Pinellas supervisor race latest in Florida to feature elections denier.” That “election denier” happens to be the brilliant, if not politically-correct-deficient, Chris Gleason, who was just credited nationwide as the data investigative genius behind the massive money-laundering ActBlue scheme investigations recently launched by first three, now seven, states and growing.
Pam McAloon has repeatedly dismissed my pleadings over the last three long years to look into our local SOE voter roll and machine problems associated with the 2020 election. When she was informed that the ES&S machines ran on Windows 7 and are hackable, she scoffed pretending she knows enough about computers to be judge, jury and executioner. So did Pinellas GOP Chair Adam Ross who responded, “We’ve had cheating for years” as though that settles it.
McAloon’s recitation of the left-wing TBT article demonstrates her undying allegiance to the RINO Establishment. What “Republican” would call another Republican an “election denier” in this day and age? Sorry Pam…I used to like you until I knew you.
As our REC Boards statewide shout out loud that the RPOF rules mean they won’t endorse one Republican over another in a primary, consider this according to the same TBT article cited above: Pinellas REC Chair Adam Ross (who is also running uncontested for Pinellas Tax Collector), is quoted in the TBT article as saying, “rules prohibit the group from making an endorsement in a Republican primary even though the Aug. 20 race will be open to all county voters regardless of party because no Democrat qualified to run.’ But he said he does ‘not believe there is a conspiracy for voter fraud that Julie Marcus is a part of or running.’ … ‘Julie Marcus has always been very involved in the county and the state in making sure we have free and fair elections in Florida, … I really think whatever your party affiliation is in Pinellas County, or the state of Florida, you can have full faith and security knowing your ballot is being counted accurately.’” According to who? https://seniorvoiceamerica.org/pinellas-supervisor-race-latest-in-florida-to-feature-elections-denier-p856-212.htm
Does that sound like an “endorsement” to you? What about McAloon’s timely re-posting of the TBTs article in the very widely-read “Senior Voice America” publication recently? This is slime ball politics and we cannot let it go unchallenged.
Recently a faith-based organization here in Pinellas also endorsed Julie Marcus by way of their “Voter Guide.” I was furious because they never once reached out to me. As a person considered locally to be probably the most active America First representative in the county, I wondered why. I was also surprised they’d never bothered to reach out to Raj Doraisamy, Founder of Defend Florida statewide. After all, we were the only credible group in Florida who’d done ANYTHING about election integrity since 2020. When I challenged the faith group and pressed them to reach out to both SOE Marcus and DF Raj, they did and backtracked on their endorsement of Marcus. That’s telling. In the meantime, it did a lot of damage to the underdog, Chris Gleason.
I’m pretty sure that Faith-based group got their “intel” from an REC board member of “faith”, REC Vice Chairman Mark Phillips. I can’t judge Mark’s intent. I can only say that based on my personal involvement in Election Integrity in my county, Mark Phillips not only never once consulted with me or Raj on our substantive EI findings, he also was part of the Board that disbanded our local REC EI Committee earlier this year when our Pinellas Watchdogs’ EI Committee tried to get a resolution passed along with 10 other AF counties to strengthen our elections processes in the state. That alone makes me question Phillips’ intent or wisdom.
If you think my reasoning isn’t enough to convince you how to vote for Republican candidates, make sure to check out this incredibly well-researched article entitled “Primary Election Time! Take Note of the SimWins Twins and Their Laundry "Machine Candidates" written Aug 9, 2024 by Sharon Calvert, one of the best breakdowns of the corruption in Florida I’ve read in a long time.
Folks, we are probably in the last election of our lifetimes. If you don’t believe me, read the 2nd chapter of my book, Rules for Deplorables: A Primer for Fighting Radical Socialism. We are way past socialism now. Chapter 2 is called “Viva la Revolucion.” My book was released in 2019. The 2nd Chapter was about Venezuela’s demise via socialism. We're going down the same path but much more quickly. You can vote your way into Communism. But you cannot vote your way out.
My best advice? Vote for the underdog.
